Encounters — A respirologist is diagnosed with cancer

In this narrative, Dr. Clive Kearon reflects on his cancer diagnosis, and how life expectancy can change in one instant, sometimes for the better. Dr. Kearon is a thromboembolism consultant, clinician-researcher, and professor of medicine at McMaster University.
