In this narrative, Dr. Ariel Lefkowitz shares the story of Betty, a patient whose faith helped her be at peace with her fate in life. Dr. Lefkowitz is a general internist at Sinai Health System and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. He wrote a Humanities Encounters article published in CMAJ called "Major Betty."
